What white label matcha actually means

Straightforward: you choose the grade and origin, we supply the matcha in your branded packaging. Your customers see your brand — they never know we exist.

White label

Faster, lower risk

Sell our existing, proven matcha under your name. Tested and ready to go. Most brands start here.

Private label

Bespoke & custom

Custom formulations, bespoke blends or specific processing. We do both — this goes further when you’re ready.

Who we work with: ecommerce brands building a range, wellness companies adding matcha to a supplement line, subscription-box curators, tea retailers wanting an own-brand option, and supplement formulators. If that’s you, you’re in the right place.

How the process works

From idea to first pallet in under six weeks

Typical lead time is 3–6 weeks for a first run — sample approval, packaging setup and production. Reorders are faster, usually 2–3 weeks.

1

Tell us positioning & price point

A ceremonial matcha for health-conscious buyers in 30g tins needs a different grade than a culinary in 250g pouches for baking. We recommend grade and origin for where you want to sit.

2

Receive samples & approve

We send the recommended grades. Test colour, taste, froth — whatever matters for your application. No commitment until you’re happy.

3

Choose packaging & send artwork

Pouches, tins or sachets. Supply finished packaging or we apply your labels to our standard formats. Send your artwork, we handle the rest.

4

We pack, label & ship

Finished units to your warehouse or 3PL — or we fulfil direct to your customers if that suits your setup better.

Grades & origins for private label

Origin is your biggest positioning decision

We stock matcha from both Japan and China. Most brands start with one grade and add others as they grow — we’ll help you pick the starting point.

MOQs & packaging

Start from 50kg

A first run from 50kg is roughly 500–1,000 retail units depending on pack size — enough to test the market without sitting on stock. Reorders can be smaller once your artwork is on file.

Resealable pouches

50g, 100g, 250g, 500g

The most popular format for ecommerce brands.

Tins

30g, 50g, 100g

Premium feel — ideal for ceremonial-grade positioning.

Single-serve sachets

2g

Great for subscription boxes, sample packs and food service.

Bring your own bespoke tins or pouches and we’ll fill them, or use our standard formats with your label for the fastest route to market. We provide all the data for UK-compliant labels: ingredients, allergens, organic marks, nutritionals and best-before dates.

Pricing & margins

Quote-based, and honest about it

Pricing depends on grade, volume and packaging complexity, so we quote accurately rather than publish numbers that won’t fit your spec. Retail margins of 60–75% are achievable depending on grade and positioning.

First-run costs are slightly higher because of packaging setup — plates, dies or digital print configuration. From the second run on, your per-unit cost drops. No hidden fees for documentation, certification or samples. The price we quote is the price you pay.

Certifications & compliance

The paperwork to back your claims

Making organic claims means having the documents to support them. We hold organic certifications across JAS, USDA and EU/CERES, referenceable on your labels using our certification numbers.

This matters for selling on Amazon (COAs required for supplements), supplying retail chains, or any organic claim on packaging. We’ve been through it with enough brands to prepare documentation upfront — not scramble when a buyer asks.

Frequently asked questions about white label matcha

What is the minimum order for white label matcha?

Initial runs start from 50kg, which typically produces 500-1,000 retail units depending on pack size. Once packaging is set up, reorders can be smaller. We will confirm exact minimums based on your chosen format.

Can I use your organic certification on my packaging?

Yes. Our organic certificates (JAS, USDA, EU/CERES) can be referenced on your product labels using our certification numbers. We provide the documentation and guidance on correct labelling.

How long does the first order take?

Allow 3-6 weeks for a first white label run, covering sample approval, packaging setup and production. Repeat orders are faster, typically 2-3 weeks.

Do I need to provide my own packaging?

Not necessarily. We can pack into standard pouches or tins with your label applied. If you want fully custom packaging (bespoke tins, unique pouch sizes), you can supply your own or we can recommend packaging suppliers.

Can I choose between Japanese and Chinese origin matcha?

Yes. We stock both. Japanese ceremonial suits premium brand positioning while Chinese organic works well for competitive pricing or supplement formulations. We recommend based on your brand strategy and target retail price.
